Wells Cottage Hospital was built in 1897.In the late 1990s local historian Mrs Gwen Davies spent over 3 years researching and documenting the hospital's history and development. The result was "Builth Cottage Hospital - A Centenary History 1897 to 1997"
The book was published in time for the centenary celebrations of 1997 and all proceeds went to the "Friends" of Builth Hospital.
It is no longer in print and copies are becoming harder to locate.
As a result Mrs Gwen Davies has agreed to the text being displayed online at this website, thus ensuring the detailed content is always available for reference.
