The practice makes use of the facilities of the community hospital in Builth Wells. Here there are normally 20 inpatient beds but this number has been reduced to 12.
Services include: ultrasound, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and a good range of consultant outpatient clinics. The latter include general, and age care medicine; urodynamics and prostate assessment clinic; and palliative care.
A complimentary range of other consultant clinics is available through the nearby community hospital in Llandrindod Wells. There are very good working relationships with local and visiting consultants.
The community nursing team is based at the hospital, as is a social worker, and there is close liaison between hospital and GP practice to enable the provision of an extended range of primary care services
The nearest District General Hospitals are in Hereford, Abergavenny and Carmarthen - all approximately 45 minutes journey time away.
A rapid turnaround laboratory service is provided from Hereford, with urgent results being returned on the same day to both the surgery and hospital.
A Minor Injury Service is provided from both Llandrindod and Brecon War Memorial Hospitals.
