Macmillan Nurses deliver a high quality service, providing support and advice to patients and families living with cancer and other life limiting illnesses. To meet patients individual needs they work closely with local District Nurses, GPs, Hospital Doctors and Nurses, and other health care professionals.

Palliative Care is the active total care of patients and their families with life limiting illness. The goal of Palliative Care is to achieve the best quality of life for patients and their families. We also offer specialist support to patients who are undergoing cancer treatment.

In partnership with hospital and community services we can offer support and advice to patients and their families at home and in hospital including:
- Advice on control of symptoms, eg. pain, sickness, poor appetite
- Emotional support, information and practical advice
- Links with specialist service, day care and hospice
- Bereavement support
